About
This is the RUC homepage of Zhiyuan Xie (谢志远).
I joined the department of physics at Renmin Univerisity of China (RUC) in October 2015, and now serve as a full professor. Before that I graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) in May 2007 with a B.E. degree, and obtained my Ph.D. in May 2012 in Prof. Tao Xiang’s group at Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ITP, CAS), after which I worked at Institute of Physics (IOP), CAS, as a postdoctoral fellow.
My research specializes in theoretical condensed matter physics, especially in strongly correlated systems and computational physics. My current research activities focus on numerical renormalization group, quantum spin liquids, high temperature superconductivity, disordered systems, and machine learning (especially deep learning).
This is my RUC homepage, and you can find information about my research, such as publications, talks, and possible opening jobs. The RUC students of my classes can also download some lecture notes about the two courses I am teaching, i.e., Advanced Quantum Mechanics and Computer Programming.
